Where it all began
The first hello
The first hello — a quiet beginning to something extraordinary.
We first crossed paths during our Professional Year program. Dipa was a friend of someone I had known for years, someone I had lost touch with for a while. I had seen her around college before, but we never really spoke.
Even during the program, we stayed in the background of each other's lives — just familiar faces in the same space.
Slowly, things began to change. As our groups started spending more time together, we found ourselves sharing the same moments — group lunches during breaks, casual conversations, and fun karaoke nights.
Bit by bit, conversations turned into connection. And before we knew it, we weren't just part of the same group anymore — we had started our own story.

The day we said yes
The day we chose each other — and every day after.
What started as a simple day turned into one we would never forget.
We went to Doonside and spent the day at Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park, walking side by side, laughing, and enjoying the little moments together.
But I had something more planned.
Later, I took her to Nurragingy Reserve. It was calm, quiet, and felt like the right place for what I had been thinking about for a long time.
As we walked through the park, I knew this was the moment. I asked her to take the next step with me.
She said yes. And just like that, our story moved into something deeper — something lasting.

Somewhere between the laughter, the late conversations, and the time we spent together, I realised she had become more than just someone I enjoyed being around.
She had become someone I didn't want to lose.
So I asked her to be my girlfriend. Not in a grand or perfect setting, but in a moment that felt real, honest, and ours.
She said yes. That simple answer changed everything.
From that day on, we were no longer just two people getting to know each other — we were building something together.
